cold fish handshake
Have you ever shook someone's hand and it was like holding onto a cold, dead fish? What is that all about? What's going on in someone's mind that they won't at least attempt a grip? It seriously gives me the shivers. It's like, "Oh hello, here's my hand, but I'm not sure there's any life in my body." Gross. Please tell me none of my dear bloggers out there have this silly handshake.
However, I can't decide what creeps me out more - the cold, dead fish or the handshaker that doesn't let go.

Is it the coldness, wetness and fishiness that bothers you? Or the lack of grip? Because, I have cold hands that are sometimes moist, but I grip the hand when shaking hands...
ewwww....I hate the cold, dead fish handshake. And what I dislike more is when men give you the cold, dead fish handshake just because you're a woman --when you know they're capable of "the grip" because you've just seen them shake your husband's hand firmly.
what's up with that?
Em, the cold hands isn't a problem - it's the lack of grip.
Deb - totally! What's with that? I guess they're trying to polite. They don't want to squish our delicate hands. However, that doesn't mean give us the cold, dead fish instead.
Or the one with boogers all over their hand. Which hopefully you wouldn't try to shake...
i always shake hands with someone so they'll remember me. not "too" hard, but very firm. however, having said that, guys do tend to shake girls hands with less of a grip. when you go to shake a girls hand you always expect her handshake to be a lot softer than a guys handshake would. unless the girl starts the handshake off firm, you can expect guys to be gentlemen.

Nice. I do this. Sorry honey. I used to shake the same I do with men with mixed results. Some hands were hurt, nails were broken, and business deals lost. What to do?
